First, you need to get a new keyboard. It seems it lost some keys.

Where are you planning to look for a job ?

It really depends where are you planning to go, the availability of Java programmers in that area, how good you are, etc, etc.

If you are in India your scjp may not help you much. But there are lot of jobs for freshers, so try to grab one even if it is a small job.

Good luck

I beg to differ on this issue. Even if you are a fresher , being an SCJP counts. Good Luck.

If you really want to learn Java, go for the SCJP exam. I would say a work experience or project(college) experience in Java + SCJP is a better option as you would know how to apply your Java knowledge practically. If you have time, go ahead and do it.

I passed my SCJP when i was in my final sem of Bachelor's. I was also doing a project in Java and it really helped me clear my concepts.

You have better chances of getting a job with a certification than without one. So think in those lines.
