I'm running a simple application on Tomcat5.x with MS sql server as DB. I'm getting this error.

[]Login failed for user 'xxxxx'.
at com.inet.tds.a.a(Unknown Source)
at com.inet.tds.a.<init>(Unknown Source)
at com.inet.tds.TdsDriver.connect(Unknown Source)
at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)
at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)

Can anybody tell me what and why I'm getting this.?

Looks like you don't have the proper permissions set up. What account are you using to connect? Does that account have permissions to the DB? Are you using the correct password?

Where can I check for the authentication code.
But, same settings (username/password) work for a different application.

I dont understand why I get this exception if it is application specific.

This kind of problem is Common in Database Connectivity here problem with DataSourceFile.xml is unable to configure,User Database name and password is not proper.

Check it the config/datasourcesName.xml
