Hi,

McAfee has in-built MSSQL Database. We are trying to connect using JDBC but we are facing issues. Can aneone let me know about, is there any separate JDBC driver for McAfee compatible? Please let me know.Any help is greately appreciated.

Jagadeesh,
Welcome to JavaRanch!

This is highly unlikely to be something people know off the top of their head. Does McAfee supply any documentation with their product?

I too understand. But we are doing a project for which we require to access their log data. I heard that McAfee ePO product stores log data in MSSQL Database. am not getting any info on internet sites. Hence this post. Please let me if any one has idea.

"JK",
Welcome to the JavaRanch.

We're a friendly group, but we do require members to have valid display names.

Please edit your profile and correct your display name since accounts with invalid display names get deleted, often without warning

Where did you hear this? Providing us a link would give us at least the same knowledge you had. Currently we have nothing to help you with.

I have got information from below pdf. I resolved this problem after doing R&D. But am facing one more issue in JDBC code execution.

When am accessing the table by giving below query, am getting error.

select * from ePO_Jags-H0I6O8Y4O.Events;

where "ePO_Jags-H0I6O8Y4O" stands for Hostname of McAfee installed machine.

I get error as "Invalid object name´┐ŻePO_Jags-H0I6O8Y4O.Events". Can you please let me know what could be the problem??

Thanks,
Jags

"Jagadeesh Kumar Sastry.K"

Your name still does not conform to the JavaRanch Naming Policy. Please review the policy and update it appropriately. This is your second warning.
