Hi Guys,

Hi Guys! Currently I am doing MS Computer Science from Australia. I am planning to come back to India. I got a call from one of the Indian Recruiters stating that I will be interviewed by someone from SlashSupport. If I get a job there. I may plan to join as early as possible. I heard that it is a call center (BPO). I am more interested in Network Design, Network Management, Network Administration etc. I do not mind in joing a Tech. Support Team. But is it worth leaving Australia for this company?

Thank you

SS is considered to be a 'techie's' organization. You will get exposure to advanced Networking and Security. Drawbacks are... it can be too 'techie' and night-shifts.

Also if you have some certifications, you can get a 'better' job in India.

Hi,

Is there any specific reason to come back to India? I think Australia is in boom in IT jobs now a days, specially in Networking, databases, Java, .NET. In case you already have some work exp then you should get good job only. I also did MS from Australia in 2004 but I came back India bcoz of dead S/w market that time, now working in India only on reputed company.

Can you tell me more abt S/w market there now a days for 3 yrs exp people like me. Give me your email id. Now a days I'm planning to return there.

Thanks
Deeps

You will be working on challenging issues and solving customer issues ( companies whose Networks you will be handling/monitoring). BTW, what position/profile they have offered you ? That might explain what you will be doing, if you join.

hey deep and abhi thanx for your reply. Deep, IT market is booming here. But unless you have a PR, it is a bit difficult task to get a job. Same problem I am facing. You can look for a job on www.seek.com.au and www.mycareer.com.au

I am ready to face the challenges and learn more about technology, but I do not want to end up just facing customers and sticking to the phone.
