Hi,
In my company I came across two across two who are working as business analyst and solutions architect resp.I wonder what are these positions and these people do?.I tried having a search in google to find out but google was simply too confusing.

Are these terms some exagerrated names of say managers, executives or something else??

Moreover where does these people fit in the overall corporate hierarchy.

Mark,I am not sure whether this thread suits in this forum or not.

This thread is certainly appropriate and welcome in this forum.

My question to you is, why don't you just go up to each of them and say "I saw your title but don't know what it means, can you tell me a little more about your role, I'd like to learn more about it?"
