Ah yes. Crap happens. What technology would you like to work in ? If you have the skills or a certification, try to woo people into shifting you to other projects. You can press people to shift you to kolkota. Its not difficult. But its gonna take a year or so to do. Talk them into it slowly.

What is hot today may not be so hot tomorrow. Mainframes are probably gonna be around for a very long time. Its hard to shift a solution away from a main frame considering the kind of processing power it has. Relax and make the situation work out for you. Good luck.

P.S: Please remove the name of the company from your post.

Not everyone in this forum speaks English that well. Using short cuts such as pls will confuse the crap out of people. Also please use your Shift key, it does not hurt to capitalize the letter "I" when refereing to yourself and also capitalize the first letter of your sentences! (Spell check also helps!)

Putting effort into your posts makes other people want to answer it. If I see a bad post, I tend to ignore them since why should I put time into answering them if you did not?

Hi arghya,
The place you work has many mainframe projects. Be there for an year , do some finance certification & some certification in db side & get into big Finance company's like Lehman , Credit Sussie etc

Consider Paul's rocket mass heater.
