We are using Jasper for report printing. Invoke PDF format report from the java application. I am facing issue of slow response time while pdf opening. Is there any work arround to speedup the Acrobat plugin?

Which part is slow - the creation of the PDF file on the servr, its transfer to the client, or opening it once it is on the client?

As per my understanding, its taking time for Opening the file. Because when I invoke this report for the first time, it shows "Acrobat Reader" opening window, and then after 5 - 6 sec report comes up. Second time it will come up fast as compare to first time as it will skip "Acrobat Reader" intializaion.

See if this helps. But i dont think this is the right solution since the Acrobat Reader will be at the client end and you wont have any control over the setup/configuration of the same.

I wish to win the lottery. I wish for a lovely piece of pie. And I wish for a tiny ad:
