Hi, I am an American heading to Europe in search of Java work. For those who are intimately familiar with the European IT work culture, please offer some advice!

Here's my background. I have dual US/EU citizen. I have family in Europe and have spent a lot of recreational time there. I have about 10 years Java experience and have worked for major software and financial companies. I speak Spanish fluently and know some German and Italian.

So, hopefully, with my background, it should be pretty easy to find a job, right?

I also need some strategic and cultural advice about how to embark on my search. What are best cities to work in, as far salary, cost of living and quality of life? How do I go about the search/interview process? What are the best job boards? Any cultural etiquette tips for applying and interviewing?

And finally and most importantly, what kind of salaries and work conditions can I expect?

Thanks in advance,

Juan
