I started using Visual j++ but it didn't support JDK1.2 therefore some of my code was not running on it so I shifted to VCafe. I found VCafe not good as compared to Vj. I want to go back to Vj, Can anybody tell me how to configure it use latest version of jdk or is it possible?
Some people say that Visual java is polluted and should not be used?Give your advice.
I also heard that Microsoft is not going make any new version of vj because of some legal problems with sun so learn this ide is waste of time?

"learn this ide (VJ++) is waste of time?"
Yes, most definitely. Even Microsoft does not support it anymore.
Sound strange enough, I'm using it as my editor, and only as editor, since some good features of it and it knows Java syntax. However, I use javac as my compiler only.
If you need an IDE (I don't!), you can choose JBuilder, Kawa (free), or NetBeans(free open source), Forte for Java, etc. Visual Cafe is not on my recommending list.
Thanks!

I use JBuilder 4 Foundation, which is free. You can pay them if you want a more pwerful version, but the free version is pretty good. Go to www.inprise.com .
