Anyone wrote an application that monitors WindowsNT services using Java (servlet or JSP)...Restart the service if the service is stopped and if the restart fails.. notifies some kind of error message or play sound file on applet or some other thing... I am planning to write one application like this "if it not re-inventing the wheel". Any suggestions welcome. thanks,
Yes it is OS specific and will required to use Micrsoft specific APIs to call this functionality. With the talk of very less Java support on Microsoft plateform, will it be possible to integrate call to these APIs through Java.
