Hi, I've been asked to look at some java code that makes a JNI call out to a c routine. The code is core dumping periodically in the c code. The backtrace of the core file was not very helpful. Can anyone give me any tips on how best to debug this situation? Thanks for any input

There can be several reasons for core dump. Unfortunaltely you cannot use a debugger in this case. Can you add printf in C code to arrive at the problem location.

Could you try writing a C program that calls your C method?
