What job market are you talking about? What currency is "8K" in?

Do I understand that correctly that in just 2 years your salary expectation tripled?

We know 8k means 8,0000. What we don't know is what that 8,000 is. If you live in the US it would be dollars, in Mexico it would be pesos, in Italy it would be euros, etc. There's a world of difference between 8,000 euros per month and 8000 pesos per month; and also a world of difference between 8000 euros per month and 8000 euros per year.

As this is an American based website and you did not list a country, we would logically assume you're talking about dollars, in which case $8,000 per month seems like a great deal for 2 years experience. $8,000 per year is just about impossible to live on.

Do we even need to know what currency this is? I mean, unless the Indian job market is completely different from the US, I'd say a 200% raise is a little extreme. Maybe something like a 50% raise (i.e. you'd be making 1.5 times your current salary) would be more likely.

If not, then I'm headed to India!

Kalees, as per my understanding, you must be working in a small scale company. Rs. 8000 per month (96000 per annum) is a bit less for demanding the 25000 per month (3lpa) salary. But this is also true that you are getting paid less as per Indian industry standards.
The thing is, if you join a large organization, then they have their own payment slabs for different experience levels. Large service based organization can provide you your expectation (3lpa). But if the salary is the only your expectation (and not onsite), then it would be advisable to try for some financial firms rather then service oriented industry. If you perform in interview, they can offer you even more then what you are expecting

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
