Hi,

As a person who enjoys traveling to new places, absorb culture and meet people would like to know which jobs involve 25%-50% traveling?

I have a professional background in Security (Research and Consulting) and can anybody suggest where to look for a new job which involves 'Information Security' and good amount of onsite travel.

Regards,

AK

You best bets would be either a large consulting firm, the professional services arm of a software firm, or a sales engineering role.

The first often tends to be 80-100% at brand name firms, but you can find firms with less travel, or pick industries and a home location which will result in less travel (e.g. financial services and living in NYC, you can get down to less than 10% travel).

Professional services in a software firm is probably ideal although again you need to find a firm with that rate of travel. Sales engineering involves less travel than the other roles so it might be easier to find something closer to 25% in that type of role.

Indeed, look for consulting firms with offices in different locations. They'll end up sending you all over.
