Hello All,

I had been working with a major IT company for the past 7 years in java platform. Prior to that I have 2 years of servlet experience( which I can hardly remember now). Most of my 7 experience is in in-house tools and in the domain iteslf. I am supposed to be the expert in a particular domain. I am very good in learning and picking up stuff fast.I am a sun certifed programmer.

Somehow my current job situation is not working out for me and I would like to change jobs... for which I have to retrain myself. I am setting a goal for 1-1.5 months to get retrained and get out.

So my dilemma is whether I should concentrate on the web component developer certification (so I can brush up my servlet knowledge) or should try to learn new framewoks like Spring Hiberante etc.

What would you the experts out here recommend?

Thanks a lot!
Meera

Firstly learn the high level fundamentals relating to JEE, Servlet and JSP.

Later you can start with learning and working on some tutorials based on Spring, Hibernate and JSF.
