I thought most companies have agile development methodology which are customized to suit a particular environment/company based on methodologies like XP, TDD, SCRUM, etc and RUP is more suited for SOA initiatives. Regardless it is worth knowing all the pros/cons of each approach and comapnies usually try these approaches on a pilot project. Hope I have not opened the can of worms on the RUP vs Agile discussion.
After just reading about word RUP(Rational Unified Process) i am quit interested in knowing about RUP in brief (before i could go with reading a book on it....) could you please ellaborate and explain to what is RUP? i read above post as you have mentioned it is suited in SOA initiatives.....still would like to know something more about RUP
it will be kinda of you if you could put some light on it..........
