Help In building a tree component

I have to build a tree component that gives a look and feek of a windows explorer & it should allow a facility to be able to edit the nodes like a text box.
One of the developers here is saying that we cannot use swing as explorer does not support java runtime environment.
Please give me incites as to how to go about it.

You can extend DefaultTreeCellEditor class to edit tree nodes like explorer ..
