I put this question for many reasons, IT Market is not stable, at least one article about market stability and companies reaction for that etc. in dailys. Hearing many companies are firing employees/ closing its US units.

So changing current job and losing all equities made with current company is wise idea?

There are sufficient number of jobs available. Freshers many be little bit impacted and don't expect big hikes.

No, do not make changes at a time when the entire world picture is changing. That is not wise time to risk accomplished tenure. Stability in the time of change is advised unless one is a senior staffer who can get taken by company that has strong ability to fulfill promise and one has deep knowledge of companies ability to fulfill most promises made.
