I am also a Java programmer with 1.5 years experience. I am working overseas on salary of $48,000 per annum. I have permanent work visa and can work here forever. I have ICT degree and SCJP.

BUT,My parent want me to come back and work in Delhi/NCR. Please do let me know how is jobs market and what salary can I expect there. I heard salaries in India are booming, Is it only for experienced professional or juniors as well.

The market is pretty good for Java/J2EE people in Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Pune. Not sure about the opportunities in Delhi though.

The average salary for a 1.5 year experienced guy would be around Rs. 5 lakhs/annum. The variation depends on your skill level.

Thanks Jaydev.... Your reply seems helpful.

Now one more thing, if some-one has salary of Rs 5-Lacs per annum, how much will get monthly after all deductions ???

Will overseas degree and experience help in getting more than any other graduate from local college with 1.5 year experience ??
