I was moving to another new company, i like to know how can i transfer the PF account to my new company ?

please let me know the formalities. thank you

Yes you can. All you have to do is know your current PF number. When you join the new company they will give you a PF transfer form. Fill that and submit it.

is there any document which i have to receive from my current organization ?

or only the PF number which is in the payslip will do ?

In addition to what Sree Chinna said, you can find your current PF number in your salary slip / previous years Form 16.

PF is 'Provident Fund' an amount deducted every month from salary for all salaried employees in India, is returned to employee in case of termination from Job / or after leaving the job.

Roughly equivalent to 401Ks or DB/DC's in US.
