November 27,2002 - GRAN, Ltd has released GRAN PM 2.0.1 - the
first enterprise level Java-based defect tracking software.
This new version of GRAN PM supports configurable workflow,
features multilevel security system, and can generate text,
HTML and PDF reports with charts. GRAN PM can organize
relevant data into databases for given project and/or
sub-project(s), which allows you to effectively
inherit workflow(s), custom-fields and security rules;
this also lets you generate several reports about different
projects at the same time. GRAN PM features cluster
support to increase system performance and make it scalable.
Unlike most other defect tracking systems, GRAN PM is truly
multi-platform and supports not only Windows, but Linux,
Solaris, AIX, and HP-UX as well. GRAN PM is a web-based
solution, but unlike other similar systems, it allows
web-interface to be used for administrating system as
well, which allows system administrator(s) to configure
it from anywhere in the world. You can use almost any
browser for working with this software - both well known,
such as Internet Explorer, and less popular ones, such
as Mozilla or even lynx.
"GRAN PM is the first Java-based defect tracking
system on the market oriented toward mid-size and large
teams of software developers", - said Maxim Kramarenko,
CEO of GRAN, Ltd. "The fact that you can transfer, scale
up or down, and easily configure this system, combined
with its very affordable price, makes this solution the
optimal choice for many software developing companies."
GRAN, Ltd is a private company based in Russia in 1998.
Company interests lay in the area of developing
cross-platform solutions for software products
life-cycle support, such as software project management
and automatic QA (quality assurance, i.e. testing
and trouble-shooting) systems. Superior products and
friendly tech support helped the company to gain
over 300 clients in Russia and abroad, most of which
are well known and reputable software developers.
