Browsing HTML and XML files in text area

Hi,
I want to browse the text in a html or xml file in a text area, so i'll make a button that will use file chooser and then i want a way to show the html or xml file i choosed..

I may do the following, modify the text of these files and remove all tags and keep the text and then read the text and write it in the text field...
This is a view so can anyone help giving me better ideas or supporting mine
of even suggest other way than using text area ..

using JTextPane instead.
