May i know what are the important components in Java Swing which should be read & mastered for creating applications.

perhaps the best way for you to get an answer to your question is to peruse
the various swing forums (here, sun, comp.lang.java.gui etc) and read what
components the questions/problems relate to. The components with the most
frequency of questions/problems will perhaps be the better ones to 'master'.

Off the top of my head I would say JTable, JTextPane, JTree might be a good starter.
