1) Extend JApplet instead of JFrame
2) Replace JFrame constructor with init()
3) Ensure that you are not trying to access any system resources, as you will get a security violation. If you do want to access system resources, read some stuff regarding signing jars.
4) Create a web page and embedd your applet in it.
5) Deploy the web page under some webserver.

Of course you have many other options. But applet conversion means least amount of code changes for you.
