'port in use' error

Hi,
I was using Java web server and to run servlets, and then installed apache tomcat to learn JSP. Now I cant run either one of them. Cos when I run either one of them it is giving me the error message saying the ports are use by other application.
So how do I set up the ports or change the ports so that both can work, without problem.

Tomcat listens on a port determined in the server.xml file - the entry that looks like:
<Connector className="org.apache.tomcat.service.SimpleTcpConnector">
<Parameter name="handler" value="org.apache.tomcat.service.http.HttpConnectionHandler"/>
<Parameter name="port" value="8080"/>
</Connector>
Why do you want to continue with JWS? Tomcat contains a complete server, servlet engine and JSP engine. You may get weird errors if the two programs get their libraries mixed up.
