http versus https

i am using the url to get a url from the network
that works fine but it does not support https , suggestions anybody
this works
url u = new url(http://mail.yahoo.com");
this does not
url u = new url(https://mail.yahoo.com");

There is a seperate package from baltimore technologies,
Using HttpsUrl class u can access that url.
