Dear All,
It appears that Tomcat is troublesome. I wonder why we do use J2EE instead. Any reason?

I haven't used Tomcat but my understanding is that it's an implementation of the servlets part of J2EE.

Isn't J2EE a for sale product as opposed to free?
Tomcat seems to work fine for me.

I use Tomcat 3.2 and have great sucess with it. I tried other products, and either they were too buggy or too pricy. With the improved SSL support with TC 3.2, we could not be happier with Tomcat. Plus, who can beat free? :P
