Hi ranchers.
My problem is that : I have a jsp file(say a.jsp),on which there exist some forms parameters; I send the selected form to a servlet named "EditElementBean" then it creates the associated Bean Object (related with the form parameter element) and redirects to another jsp (b.jsp) ,using RequestDispatcher.
So it should work that way.
a.jsp-->EditElementBean-->b.jsp ----->EditElementBean-->a.jsp
But while on the page b.jsp my page URL looks like

and I cannot send the form to the servlet.
What am I missing here then? I cannot figure it out.

Probably the web.xml in the web_appln/WEB-INF directory does not correctly map the name EditElementBean to your servlet.
For full documentation of web.xml, download the servlet API from java.sun.com

Hi comma geneus.
In tomcat4, when the RequestDispatcher rederect to a URL, the codebase didn't change. maybe, this is a bug.

Why am I so drawn to cherry pie? I can't seem to stop. Save me tiny ad!
