calling servlets

how can we call a servlet from an applet?

 URLConnection con = (new URL("http://.../MyServlet")).openConnection();
con.connect()

note that because of the "http://" what you get is an HttpURLConnection (in the java.net package). This is important because you can then
((HttpURLConnection)con).setRequestMethod("POST");
Do that before opening the connection - otherwise you have a GET connection by default.
