where can i save the servlet class files in j2ee sdk 1.4

Hi
Still i'm unable to compile the servlet using j2ee sdk 1.4.becoz of the classpath.please tell me anyone that where can i get the full details or step by step instructions for using the j2ee sdk 1.4 for compiling the servlet, run the servlet(like where i have to save the class file) and also about the deployment, please help me
