as my layoff date approaches(31/8), i feel an odd sense of perspiration. my eyeballs flicker about wildly straining to estblish a point of reference.
odd feelings of violence take control of my system. getting a life of their own, my hands stalk the surroundings for the nearest oseophagus.
to be concluded......

Wow
I woudn't worry about getting lais off. the economy isn't as bad as the news makes it sound. I do contract work and I find something almost immediately after I finish one contract. the few times I don't is because I need a break and take a month off to chill.
My suggestion, see a placement agency with a reputation, you'll be happy you did and have a wealth of options in front of you.

I have been bounced from job so many times, I have lost count.
Look at as another opportunity.
Here are plenty of them out there.
Some definations of success is how many time you have tried and failed and tried again until it worked...............

100 Things to Do If You've Been Laid Off http://internet.monster.com/specialreport/articles/thebadnews/100things/
"If you feel:
Scared
1. Don't jump off a bridge. Take an antidepressant instead. Consult your physician first, of course.
2. Be a crybaby. Call your mom and cry on her shoulder. Not only will she be happy to hear from you, but she'll also be just the support you need.
3. Give in to your survival instincts. Call your lawyer to see if you can sue.
4. Read your horoscope. Maybe today will be your lucky day.

I have been in threat of a lay off for all the time i have been in the US .It has driven me to a stage when I am begining to realize that thats not the end of the world and if anything was to happen now .....i seriously dont care....there are other things which are more important to me which i would enjoy doing rather than think over this stupid thing not under my control.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
