And how did you delete the topic??? Did you start it??
In future though, if it's just a couple of posts that spoil a thread at is best to either post in the javaranch forum to get the attention of the moderators or e-mail them directly and they'll edit / delete those posts rather than have the whole thread deleted.
Oh and don't worry about me, I'm used to being attacked. I would have like to have seen the posts for myself if there were more and had a chance to comment.

Sorry yes I did get the files, I just havn't had the opportunity to do anything with tme yet!!! I WILL get around to it soon!

I was just saying that there was no reason for the entire thread to be removed, it was an interesting discussion.
Nobody has answered whether there was more than one abusive post!! He has e-mailed me asking my forgivness and I'm not sure if I should because i'm not entirely sure what was said!

I had wondered where the starter of the post was. I think the topic was rather worth debating but some lost their wits and it got ugly. I had logged in to respond to Mr. Sarmad Sindhi's Hooray of what Sahir said about Purdah but never mind.
I guess I'll go have an intellectual exercise somewhere else.

Hi,
Islam gives protection to women by giving them purdah from devil.
Devil can be in the eyes of anyone can be in the mind of anyone,he can be anywhere....
eyes are the origin of many sins so for resisting those sins its neccessary to have pardah.
pardah is not only for women but also for men i.e not to see Na Mehrum(means those women which are not your sisters,mother or wife)until or unless there are some 2 crucial needs...for eg some1 is dying then you can help her..

Muslim woman covers her hair for the same reason that a catholic nun covers her hair. The catholic nun does it because her God told her so. That's the same reason Muslim woman covers it.
Now if someone non-muslim and from non-indian background explain why a catholic nun covers her hair or why jewish women cover their hair when they go to temple.
This is a religious issue not an issue about how a woman feels about her body or how others feel about her body.
