Java Servlet Programming(by jasonhunter)(O'reilly publications).
or
Head First in Servlets and Jsps.

please suggest a good book.

I agree with Vishnu Prakash... You should start with Head First Servlets & JSP.. and My suggestion to you is that you start it with Servlet part rather than doing JSP.. Actually JSP compiles into Servlet so you better start with Head First Servlet Part...

Second choice might be, Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages, Vol. 1: Core Technologies, Second Edition by Marty Hall, Larry Brown

i've started with (and im still reffering) both the books:
-Head First in Servlets and Jsps and
-Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages,
by Marty Hall, Larry Brown

they are really very handy specially for the beginners.
