HTTP methods

Hello All,
I am learning HTTP methods. Can any body pls help me in understanding different HTTP methods = DELETE,PUT,TRACE,HEAD,OPTIONS
Also how to use them in a servlet?

The best approach to start with sources:
http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2068/rfc2068
Then you can look in servlet spec document you can find in a signature of one of bartenders.
