I know that there was a temporary policy about "no images", but that was temporary. Folks can now post images in their messages again - BUT! If that image is something that a moderator is not comfortable with, it is possible that the image may be converted to a link.
I think that images in messages is cool, so I want to encourage that. But it is possible to put an image in a message that doesn't ride well with the "friendly place for java greenhorns" theme, so something will need to be done. Rather than making hard and fast rules, I prefer to let the moderators use their best judgement.

This is good news.
We're trusting you guys now to use your heads here and not put us in a situation where we have to make a decisions like that again.
I didn't like doing it. Nobody did. However, make sure you read Pauls post carefully... Please remember that all threads here have our Moose at the top which is our logo and that goes with our tag "a friendly place for Java Greenhorns". It distressed me to see that next to some of the images that were posted before the ban. All I'm really saying is, by all means if you want us to see an image but don't think it'll look good on our site then do as before and post a link to it. Otherwise feel free to display it here.
