Hi ,

I have two servlets accessing a common jar file.
now do we need to place these jar files in the
lib of each of the respective servlets or can we place it
in a common location .
Each of the servlet is a part of seperate apps.

Also I would like to know if the java servlet spec says something in this regard.

Regards,
Shobhit

Its simple. Try keeping it in a common lib for both i.e common/lib folder of Tomcat. If it doesn't work, you can keep a copy in the WEB-INF/lib of each application.
