how do i debit a credit card

Hi all, please am still a bit new to servlet and jsp and have read some books on them too but i really want to know... how do i debit a credit card online(e.g an online store)? do i need an extra integration or some other jar files....

If you are new to servlets, then I would suggest you to use something like Paypal. Doing it on your own will require a lot of things like a certificate, a payment gateway, encryption among others.

Its not something to try out if one does not know what needs doing.

For starters, you need to select and sign up with a payment processor. Since there are no standards in this area, they will provide you with detailed information on how to integrate with their systems. I would imagine that they all have Java APIs these days, but better make sure they do. Google for "payment processor" or "payment processing" to find such companies.
