Much as I hate to I have to agree with Randall. IT is not right nor is it fair to take advantage of someone in that condition. the fact that she came to your place does mean that she is probably interested in you - else why would she have gone there in the first place.
I hope your right and she comes over again not drunk. Do you have her phone number? you could call her and ask her out....

When I had just met my fiance he used to react really funny whenever I said he was sweet. He thought it meant "I think you're a wimp" or something.
Now, I hesitate whenever I want to pay a man a heartfelt compliment. Will they somehow take it the wrong way? (and they say women are complicated!)
But I'll take my chances: Randall, I think you're a true gentleman. And if your "drunk chick" has any sense in her she'll be back.

Randall. It is ok that you didn't take advantage of her.
Ok, you now know that she likes you, otherwise she wouldn't have come over, drunk or not.
So you could wait to see if she comes back. However, I highly suggest, if you like her yourself, that you don't wait.
Here's why. Even though she was drunk, she might have been "Sober" enough to think that because you didn't take advantage of her, that you aren't interested. Therefore you need to let her know you are.

That sounds like an extremely complicated way to get your way. She cannot say what she wants because she is too "decent" but she is not too decent to get falling-down-drunk ?

Female Psychology at work ???........Im not too good judging them when they are in their senses............so just cant figure out what they think when they are drunk .
But I definitely would have had a tough time handling that situation.
I guess Randall the only thing to do is ASK .....as Mark suggested...If you are interested
ARE YOU?? Since youre hoping she comes back in her senses.....i think yuo are.....

as drunk as she was i think if she had wanted more than smooching she would have stuck her hand in my pants. im glad she didn't cause i'm not sure how much of a gentleman i really am. i think i know a way to get in touch with her we have a mutual friend. anyway i have a final in 20 minutes, so later.

Yeah but in some countries that's just a common form of friendly greeting... kind of like a handshake.

I guess me and Map come from different background then most of you guys....But, just as Map did, I fail to find any other reason why would she come over. Unless she really wanted it, but maybe was shy or was afraid to get a "friendly handshake" otherwise. Excuse me, but your "gentleman" behavior might've produced one nasty pissed woman.
Let's look at facts:
1. She came over by herself - she looks at you at least as object of friendly conversation
2. She was drunk, but came over TO YOUR HOUSE - she looks at you at least as a safe person to be around vulnerable
3. It was Saturday night - she had all night on her hands
4. She hit on you, and you kissed - I am speachless.
She wanted cuddle and smooch??? A you out of your freaking mind? I guess you expected of her to write in big letters on the wall "TAKE ME"???
Well, since I've been there before (ah, college years ), my personal opinion is that you blew it. Maybe you have 50% chance now to get her, but you'd have to try hard now, 'cause I can guarantee she's pissed.
Define a "gentleman". Is that a person who doesn't sleep with women? No. Is that a person who doesn't take advantage of a woman? Yes, when she's drunk on the street, or in a club (unless she got drunk WITH you). But when a woman comes over drunk and hits on you, she is not vulnerable. To keep your consciousness clean, you could've asked whether she got drunk and then decided to visit you, or wise versa (good luck pulling that off  ). BTW, are you scary looking?
Here's a reality check: was she american or from some ethnic background?

No Map, remember anecdote about a gnome in public baths? He goes around introducing himself "How do you do...How do you do..." Then realizes that people's hands are a little higher above?

well anyway, it made me feel really good to feel wanted and i returned her affection so it is all good whether anything comes of it or not.
the funny thing is a few months ago the shoe was on the other foot. i was hitting on her when i was drunk. i remember she wouldnt let me kiss her then so i figured she wasnt interested

Randall, it makes sence. She wasn't sure then whether you were really interested, or just hitting on anything that moves, so she passed.
I'd ask her out on a date or something. Better yet, for a dinner and a movie in your house, with wine.
Two more things for ya to digest.
1. What about touch? Did you touch intimately (not necessarily intimate body parts), was she resentful or not?
2. Did she look dressed up and (more importantly) wear a g-string?
You guess the rest. Good luck
Shura
P.S. Map, I like your thinking Bottle of vodka would definitely do, or, for someone really special, a couple of top notch books

Take advantage of what? Her? Randall, if you did whatever you have had on your mind , she would've loved it and she would've asked for more. You should've had few drinks yourself and just went with the flow. Sooner or later you will realize that there is no "next time".

so i shouldnt feel rejected
she gets drunk and hits on me. i return her affection without trying to get her in the sack right away.

Godly creatures...
Just a thought out of the blue. When I respect a woman as a person (admire her for something other than looks), there's something in there that makes it uneasy to think about her sexually. Another words, I am not a fan of f@#%ing something I respect.
Doesn't that make "love" a contradictory term, or am I the only freak like that?

russian-style-drunken-girl-perception is better.
Even if you look from an ethic standpoint (and not from a hedonistic personal fun standpoint):
Is "to not take advantage" an ethic standpoint? I don't think so, because we don't know what she wanted.

Ah, interesting (rubbing hands....scratching head....taking a sip of unknown-brand beer)
Axel's "perception" seems to be close on target. Definite Gypsy flawor there. Singer's last name - Sukachev - almost perfectly translates into Son-of-a-bitch.
Basically, mine sorry behind always had troubles explaining locals all this. You'd have to go deep inside yourself (like smoke a joint, but I wouldn't know 'cause I don't smoke, so whatever works), find a string that is burried there, and strike it. Whatever tone comes out may be this something you've been looking for all your life. So when you'll find a song, or a woman (or a man???), that sounds unison to it, then you'd understand what this song is about.
Here's my second, and last try. Some people are taught to be good, go to church, drive responsibly, believe in president, go to college, get a credit card, buy new car, buy a house, have kids, etc. I could create a lot of fancy powerpoint presentations with graphs about the life of these people, even before they are born. Some other people take everything they are taught with a grain of salt, son't believe in debts and good presidents, and live as if today is the last day of their lives. These 2 types of people usually never intersect on course of their lives, maybe on a stoplight. Most russians I knew back there came from this second category. I left a few very dear friends there.
What this has to do with Drunk Chicks? Absolutely nothing.
Anyhow, I wrote a lot of blah here, I wish I could post a song-reply back instead...

"mine sorry behind" (as a noun, like Johnny) always had troubles explaining (whom?) Locals(what?) all this. Nothing fancy, Map, just a phrase.

Originally posted by Axel Janssen:

I was thinking about responsibility as non-measurable subject, it either present or not, just like boolean I don't subscribe to black-and-white theory, so in my point of view my opinion is not ethnicly specific, but who knows these days
Randall, no one is assuming anything, we base our logic on limited data that you supply. I'm sure you yourself are curious what was on her mind. If you made a move, you'd be one step ahead now in knowing.
Map, don't want to open a can of worms, but if you respected your cat, and then felt bad for him(her?) to be fixed, is there something you are not telling us?

well i totally lost my train of thought if i find it i'll get back to you
ok i remember...it was about the word joy.
for me, for longer than i care to remember, that has been just a word not something i feel. but last weekend i felt it when she came up behind my chair and embraced me. that is why i started this post and titled it thank god for drunk chicks

sameer,
well she moved away so i dont know where she lives now. i can probly find out though.
to be honest:
1. she took me by surprise. i hadnt even thought of her after the night i got drunk and affectionate.
2. ive been chasing girls half my age. they look a whole lot better.
3. im not certain of my feelings for her. although she certainly made some points by making me feel wanted
