Hi All,
I try to run a custom application , it runs for few minutes after that it is crashed leaving a java core dump.
I received INVALID MEMORY CLASS before crashing.
This application is integrated to the Unix Message Queue.
Can you help me out to find the reason and solution for the INVALID MEMORY CLASS.
It runs in Suse linux 9.0 and jdk 1.4.2.

Please suggest some links which gives an insight of analyzing core dump.

thanks

Invalid memory access maybe?

In any case, there's most likely nothing you can do about it even if you do track down the problem; it's going to be a bug in the JVM (or less likely, in a system library.) You can make sure you've updated your JDK to the latest patch level of 1.4.2 and try again.

Also -- please don't post the same question to multiple forums. I've deleted the other copy you posted.

Stab in the dark - could it be that it is being run by the wrong java? Make sure $JAVA_HOME/bin is ahead of, say, /usr/bin in your $PATH or Richard Stallman's not-quite-finished java will get run... (True on Fedora Core, not sure about Suse.)
