I have downloaded JDK 1.6 for test and learning. But when I wanted to uninstall JDK 1.5, I met a problem. I was told that "You already have this version of the JDK installed. Please uninstall the product through your add/remove programs utility before reinstalling.". But I clicked the remove button. Who knows how to solve this problem? I want to uninstall the JDK 1.5 and install JDK 1.6. Thanks for help.

Well, if you are under Windows, Add/Remove Applications located in the Control Panel should suffice.

If you are experimenting problems with this maybe you should reinstall JDK 1.5 and then uninstall it. Maybe you should uninstall both JDKs and start it all over, just to make sure you did it right.

I tried this method. But the JDK1.5 setup program also told me that message. What's the problem? How to solve it?
