Hi! I didn't know where to ask this question so I hope this is the right forum.

I'm developing a web application wich interacts with a desktop application. The desktop application should administrate 4 webapplications with same articles but using Internationalization.

How do we do this so that all article data, categories etc can be updated with the right language. All examples I have seen using the i8n uses the properties files in java, but I don't see how this fits the big picture when new items is beeing added with different languages.

Some more information on how the two applications interact, and other such detail might be helpful.

I'm setting up a webapplication using tomcat, struts, hibernate. The webapplication is then pointed to 4 diffrent webapplcations , same articles but different views. All 4 webapps ( there is 2 but with swedish and english text 4 different domain names ) must be administrated by a desktop application. So fomr the swing desktop the administrators chooses wich shop and language and then add articles, brands etc from the desktop app. The desktop then sends serializable objects to and saves in the database.

On my other webprojects I have all text in database but I have understood that the java way is properties files. How do one design an application with 4 diffrent text, 2 per webapps and language in a properites files? Or should I go with the mysql save?
