Any Tool for OutOfMemoryError ?

Hi Is there Any tool to know why exactly an application throws OutOfMemoryError or specifically which part of code is responsible ?my server uses jdk1.4.1

It won't do all the work for you, but a memory profiler would be a great help. It can help you to find out instances of what classes take up all the memory, and even what prevents them from being garbage collected.

We are using JProfiler, which works just fine.

The tool won't tell you which objects actually *should* be gc-able, and which code is responsible for them not being.
