The
current release version for
Java 6 is Update 7.
Update 10 has been listed as a 'Release Candidate' for some time now, but I need it. The performance and other improvements would be nice, but it is also listed as the fix version for a production bug of ours.
We still run Java 1.4 in prod, and took the chance to jump directly to 6.0.7, but a bug (I don't have the bug number on me) causes our
Tomcat instances to stop, forcing us to step back to 1.4.
I believe that the original release date was due for early 2008...
Not happy, Jan
FYI
No, we are not prepared to step to Java 5 (apparently the issue exists there too)
No, we won't move to 6u10 while it is a release candidate or Java 7
