I don't know of a way to do this from the servlet. This is usually a function of the web server - most servers will cache sevlets for a period of time ~20 seconds or so, but it can be changed by the web server. Some web servers allow for servlets to attach to the web server API and allow for the servlet to control when it is to be unloaded.
