Valued function of a web site???

Hi all,
I work for a company which provides a platform for parent and kindergarten kids, have some articles for parents and games for kids.
I was asked to give 3 ideas for what new function/features can be added into the site, obviously discussion board, chat room are old topics so it's no an idea, guys, have any ideas about new function/feature of a site?

Many articles on health, related to kid cares, voting, discussion board, chatting,etc,but want to add some functions which impress people, what is the most recent and funny stuff can add to a site (portal/ecommerce site)? Need not be practial, but if u think you are a parent, what function do you think it can impress you? Or talking about the recent ecom world, what's the most recent and hottest topics around?

what comes to my mind is 1)diary, 2)organizer, 3)newsgroup gateway 4)personal homepage editor
but those things are too general..

I would say so sort of educational game, match colors, numbers, words, shapes etc.
