JButton - do Macs have mnemonics?

I'm working on an application that is supposed to run on both Macs and Windows. Here's the deal. The Windows buttons have mnemonics that you can set using setMnemonic('C'), but it sets it to alt and the character (here alt C).
This makes the letter in the button label underlined.
Do Macs even do this? Or is everything mouse clicks.

I've been a Mac and PC user since I was 8. Macs have always had a gui with mnemonics (before the PC, in fact) The mnemonics on the Mac OS are typically based on the Open-Apple (or "command") button.

Apple has mnemonics for menus, but also for buttons?
