NFL Playoffs, who's your team?

This weekend, some good NFL wildcard matchups. Right now, Baltimore leads the Titans, and later Dallas plays Carolina.
My picks for the weekend:
Titans overcome the Ravens, and Dallas beats Carolina.
Green Bay stops Seattle, and Denver upsets the Colts (again).

yep, well hats off to Bill Parcells for getting Dallas into the post season... too bad they are done. I'd have to say that Delhomme should get the game ball for the Panthers, he looked great. Carolina (as a team) played some solid ball tonight.

I couldn't believe that McNair threw three picks... it was like that shared MVP deteriorated his performance. He really didn't look confident in that game, and they narrowly escaped overtime with a field goal. Still, I thought that both the Titans and Ravens defense played an excellent game.
I'm 1 for 2 on todays picks, lets see how I fare for tomorrow!

I'm rooting for the Eagles and Donovan this year. I just want him to have the opporunity to shove the MVP trophy is Rush's ugly face. Although Donovan is too much of a real man to stoop to such pettiness (sp)

Here are all QB stats for the season. Notice McNabb 13 Td 11 INT. He is 16th in passing yardage. The team has been winning but what has Donovan done? Did he really deserve a pro bowl selection or was it an anti Rush vote?

I don't deny that his stats weren't so great this year. Although a lot of the bad was at the beginning of the season when they were sucking. But Rush's arguments about him getting hype because he is black and all that bullshit was uncalled for. It is simply not true. All good QBs go through bad patches.

Well, well, well. I'm 50%, 2 for 4 through wildcard weekend. The Packers played an extremely close game against a motivated Seahawk team. Nice to see a defensive back (Al Harris) make a play to win the game in overtime. Pack over Seattle, 33-27 (OT).
And WTF happened in Indy, when the Colts decimated the Broncos?! Indy shut down the running game early, and Peyton Manning was playing every bit of the MVP he is. Wow. I think he was 22 of 26, for 377 yards and 5 touchdowns. This guy is the real deal (and after McNair's performance yesterday, its hard to believe that these two SHARE the MVP award this year).
Soooooooooooooo..... next weekend, Divisional Playoffs:
Carolina takes on St. Louis: I'll take Carolina, especially after the strong win this weekend.
Titans versus the Patriots: I'll go with the Titans, they are the underdog, but they are good for it.
Indy takes on Kansas City: wow... what a matchup this is gonna be, I'm for Indy... especially if Manning can get lit up as he did against Denver. Unstoppable.
Finally, Green Bay tries to stop the Eagles. All I can say is that Green Bay must have a guardian angel on their back, and that combined with Favre and Green give me all the confidence I need in that team. GO PACK!

Keep in mind that I'm 2 for 4 predictions so far, and that my 2 winning predicitions both came down to the last plays of the game. Talk about living on the edge!

Chiefs are going to have a tough Sunday. Seemed like they were in the zone for the 3 games they lost. Colts looked strong against Denver to say the least.
Its cold (12 but no goats) in KC and supposed to stay that way and its a home game. The stadium and crowd noise will be a huge help, as usual. Colts are +3.
Farve carried the whole team but if the rest of the team wakes up by Sunday he'll go home happy again. Carolina over the Rams, Patriots over Tenn, I'll take KC and pray it is not a Charlie Brown Sunday.

The Rams deserved to lose. That was about the dumbest coaching move of all time. Plenty of time to try to win the game. You never know what will happen in sudden death.

I stayed up and "watched" the game on NFL Scores. The Packers started off well, but as it went into the fourth Quarter I had the sneaking suspicion that the Eagles would equalise and send the game into OT.
I think it was one of the final plays in the 4th Quarter when the Eagles QB was sacked and it was something like 4 and 26, with less than a minute on the clock. I clapped my hands with glee and thought "This is it! the Packers are through!" and then the next play, the Eagles get a first down!
My heart goes out for Farve for throwing that Interception, and the game, in OT. I really wanted the Packers to win, I mean Favre had just lost his dad. And theres rumours about him retiring, if the Packers had won this year, well he could have went out on a high.
Now Im not so sure if hes going to stick around, I hope he does, I hope he gives it one more try next year.

Yeah, they've been "lucky" fifteen times this season, including the last thirteen games they've played. They were lucky twice against the Titans, and have already been lucky once this year against the Colts. Not to mention they've also been lucky against the Dullphins (twice), Broncos, Cowboys, and Eagles. Come to think about it, the Patriots more often than not are lucky when playing the Dolts. Hopefully this streak of luck will continue next week in icy Foxboro. Hmm... I wonder what kind of a cold weather team Indy is.

The GB Eagles game was pretty fun to watch. I cannot believe they won, riding on the shoulders of McNabb... who appeared to be the only Eagle playing football that afternoon.
But I digress back to the sloppy game between Carolina and the Rams. At least Carolina can look forward to an even matchup with the Eagles this weekend.
But the real game to watch will be NE and IN. If NE can squelch Manning, the Colts are through (can you say NO running game?). I would rather see the Colts win this, but its hard not to notice how the Patriots defense shuts offenses down. This may be a frustrating game for PM.

A couple of gems caught by the cameras in this game...
1) After Manning through one of his four INTs, they cut to a shot of the crowd just in time to catch a perfect shot of one jubilant fan making a rude gesture towards the Colts and another celebratory fan flipping off Manning and mouthing the appropriate phase to go with that gesture. The camera quickly cut away.
2) The female sideline reporter (can't remember her name) was interviewing Dungy after the game, somewhere in the vicinity of the Colt's locker room. After a large lineman walked through the shot in the background clad in only a towel, the camera tightened up a bit more on Dungy. They didn't make the shot tight enough though, because a few seconds later a bare-assed Indy player was caught on camera walking in the background. The cameraman tightened up on Dungy some more.
