shouldn't we continue the previous thread https://coderanch.com/t/39508/md/Indian-cricket-team-Australia for this discussion?

The Indians came close to break the partnership in the 34th over when the burly Symonds survived a strong shout for leg before in the very first ball after the second drinks break.
Steve Bucknor, who had raised many a eyebrow with his umpiring during the just concluded Test series, turned down the appeal off Pathan's bowling.

Not lost ..
It snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
India can do anything .. can lose a winning match and can win a losing match.

Serves me right for browsing the web while watching the delayed telecast.
Nice match though, good cricket all round (except the Indian tail, of course )

Do you think India had ever won a title by winning all the league matches?

It is one of the acronyms which I use first and then world follows like KIT, TIA
AW stands for AnyWay.
One can argue that its one word then why two alphabets ?
Ans: because I invented this abbreviation so it would be the way I want it to be
And if one cant get the meaning of "AW" then still sentence wont lose its meaning. This is the best part of the short forms I use.

The VB series, especially the IND-AUS matches are turning out to be incredible.
Based on the performance of the Indian team lately (and for purely patriotic and sentimental reasons too ) I say India will go on to win the final.
Go Team India !!

Contractions (u, aw, tia etc) are lazy and reduce understanding of posts. Almost all JavaRanch staff avoid them.
Back on topic:
Personally I see these statements as 'given' (ie fact):
  • The Indian batting order is in form. Huge form, even.
  • The Indian bowling is not far behind that.
  • Australia were lucky to win the last match. It should never have gotten to the stage where you need a bowler to hit a 6 in the last 3 balls to win.

  • I also believe that if the game hadn't been reduced in length India would have won comfortably. Did any one watch the coverage of the Australian innings? I wasn't impressed with Ganguly's stalling tactics and think he would have been raked over the coals by the media if Oz hadn't managed to snatch the victory.
I've also been surprised by how short the Indian batting line up has been in the last two games. I would have thought they'd be shocked into more batsmen after the scare against Zimbabwe, so I was gobsmacked when they did it again against Australia. 'Luckily' they had the strength to pull it off

Another thrilling encounter...India manage to pull it off against Zimbwabwe, courtesy V.V.S Laxman. He is truly a class batsman, in the same ranks as other great players of the game.
Special mention: Rahul Dravid, Rohan Gavaskar
    Other: Steve Bucknor
