how to set env variables after installing j2ee sdk 1.3.1

hello, anyone kindly help, how do i set the env variables mentioned below?(assuming i installed it in c:\j2sdkee1.3.1\ )

3. Set the environment variables.
Before running the J2EE SDK, you must set these environment variables:
J2EE_HOME - the directory where you've installed this release.
JAVA_HOME - the directory where the Java 2 SDK Standard Edition is installed.
PATH - include the bin directory beneath the directory where you've installed this release

Which OS are you using? Win9x, Win2k, Linux, OS-X?

Did you set your environment variables for J2SE?
