Score at lunch
Australia 32/0 in 7.2 overs. Rain interrupts play.
I wonder why India decided to rest S.Ramesh!?
He is bit shaky, true. But he is a better opener than anybody else we have at this moment.

Now its 172-2 in 44 overs. None of the bowlers are having any affect on the batsmen(as expected). Even 'Turbonator' is getting hit around. Looks like by end of the series many of Indian players careers are goin to be terminated.

Not having Ramesh in the team is a lesser problem than not having Murali kartik for the entire tour. He was one bowler who troubled the aussies and they dont pick him.

hmmmm ...
1 day is gone ...
1.5 remaining ...
& as Sourav said "Boys are in good shape and in competitive mood"

I m sure they (Indian team) will do it, they will play 2.5 days ...
(and its a high time to give team proper credit for this feat!!! )
and in case they can't manage to play for 2.5 days .... they can fool aussies by batting twice and giving aussie only one inning to bat

It is good that India did not bat otherwise the score would have been
110/10(India)
Australia 150/0

Ramesh or no Ramesh Indian team had decided to allow Aussies to score 600 and Indians will bat twice and loose the match ASAP.

Looking at the rate at which the Aussies are scoring, it doesn't look like a Test Match!

262 in 62 overs. That's an average of 4.22 runs / over! Very
Most teams struggle to score so many runs in the full quota of 90 overs, and these people are doing it so easily. And what's more...they have lost only 2 wickets to score it.

1. the aussies played so badly after such a good start.

I have got a TV, but it doesn't help, because none of the channels broadcast the match
The famous Test between India & Australia in Eden Gardens was the last match I watched live in TV - that was 2.5 years ago!

Now that many of us here had to eat our words after the first test performance. How do u rate india's chances now with 3 tests coming up?
