Hey, me too! Of course, that one's got a picture of me in the book, so I may be biased :-)

I'm more of a "drinks first and we'll see where it goes from there" kind of guy...

I noticed, but couldn't resist declaring my love for Mistress Servlets.

Well..actually..when it comes to girls I mostly do not look much at the head, but rather at the other end.

(I hope this does not get the moderators upset.)

You obviously don't read Head First books, because everybody is photographed head first there are you can't see that much else.

Ah, okay.. But then I cannot make up my mind just for that reason. I probably do not explain myself very well. Sorry for the confusion.

But you are right, I only read Head first Design Patterns. And I do not like it that much. Maybe too serious for 'meaningless', but the book starts explaining how 'people's brain work'. And now just my brain does not work that way. I can learn quite a lot, really fast, in silence, concentrated, with a 'boring' theoretical book. I do not need these play full cute alert triggering 'master and grasshopper' things. I learnt a few things from Head first Design Patters, but for me it was certainly not better than the Gang Of Four book.

I'll break the gender line with my favorite:

'cause he's bald, like me. (Though I took out my earring a couple of decades ago.)
